I am currently in Tech Elevator and have known 6 others who have gone through it before me, all of whom have successfully transitioned into software development. I likely won’t have any other option other than to work in order to pay for living expenses, but would like help considering every angle. I am also weighing the options of part-time versus full-time and whether managing my current full-time job during the program is feasible. I am looking for suggestions for a good starting point.įor those that have completed a TE bootcamp, what type of financing options were available? How did you financially survive during the program? I am not in the position to be able to pay much of anything upfront or make payments during the program (hence the career change), but am willing to take on and repay the debt after securing a job after completion of the program, if an option like that exists.

I essentially would be starting from scratch and am willing to do tons of prep/self-teaching to get me ready prior to a TE bootcamp so that I am able to be successful. I am looking for recommendations on a free class or some sort of way that I can get an introduction to coding to see if it’s actually something I still enjoy and to start to bring me up to speed from the minimal coding I learned as a teenager, 15+ years ago.

I have two hesitations - 1.) whether this is the right fit for me, career-wise and 2.) the financial logistics. I have read through some of the previous threads but still have some questions, so any insight is appreciated.

I am currently in a position where I am looking at the possibility of making a career change and am considering the Tech Elevator bootcamp.
